Room at the Top travels to Gibsons Public Art Gallery

Room at the Top

October 30 – November 23, 2025
Opening Reception: Saturday, November 1, 2–4 pm
Gibsons Public Art Gallery, 431 Marine Drive, Gibsons, BC

I’m delighted to share that my exhibition Room at the Top is travelling to the Gibsons Public Art Gallery this fall.

This body of work explores the subconscious, femininity, and the reclamation of feminine power. It began with a vivid dream — an imposing woman standing in a forgotten building where strange plants thrived in decay. She became the archetypal witch, a figure both feared and revered.

Historically, the witch was a healer and keeper of herbal wisdom before being vilified and silenced. Through imagery of abandonment and renewal — broken glass, graffiti, and otherworldly flora reclaiming forgotten spaces — this series reimagines her as creative, humorous, and resilient.

“Room at the Top” invites viewers to reconsider inherited narratives about power, transformation, and the feminine spirit.

I warmly invite you to visit the Gibsons Public Art Gallery between October 30 and November 23 to experience the exhibition in person and spend time with the work.
